    Two important notes

    foronceinyourlife:

    1) the lyrics to “anthems for a seventeen year old girl” by broken social scene basically sum up how how I still feel like a seventeen year old girl, infinitely.  And that probably ain’t cute.  At least I dress like a grown ass librarian.

    2) while watching the pilot episode of Eastbound and Down last night (for like, the 20th time) it suddenly hit me how Kenny Powers is so spot on and I identify with him more than anyone.

i wanted so desperately to “<3” this post due to the nature of point 1. my long lost friend/soulmate and i would drive around for hours at night, alternating through drives of downtown grand rapids and the wooded parks of wyoming, mi. so, now i’m sitting here feeling all nostalgic with anthems on repeat. it also reminded me about how in the same day, it was inferred by a police officer and a co-worker that i look no older than a 17 year.

however, the second note made here made my face scrunch in disgust. there is no other man on this planet that i hate more than danny mcbride. i mean, yeah, we GET IT. the breadth of your character development is an intense, uneducated, and inarticulate man with a substantial failure to comprehend his own mediocrity. danny mcbride is not an actor or comedian but an exploiter of moronic, underdeveloped humor. don’t get me wrong, i really enjoy this humor, but in doses and not when an entire career is based on it. its fairly shallow and i think shows a laziness on the part of the comedian and writer. but, this could be all bullshit, and i just hate excessive swearing and such easily accessible comedy. i don’t know, has any of danny mcbride’s characters ever even told a joke?

    your move.
